The Ibanez UV70P Steve Vai Premium 2018 in black is a tribute to Steve Vai's original UV7 guitar. Steve Vai was a pioneer of the 7-string guitar, and the added B string brought a new life of low-end riffing into his eclectic instrumental style. The UV70P takes the same colour scheme and specifications of the original guitar and combines it with some new appointments for a contemporary take on the UV7. A trio of DiMarzio Blaze pickups gives a boosted treble and mid response with a slight mid-scoop to create an articulate sound that is ideal for low-range riffing. The 5-way switch gives access to vastly different tones and makes the most of the UV70P's basswood body; a versatile tonewood that is highly adaptable to different playing styles and sounds. 24 jumbo frets with the Premium Fret Edge Treatment give this guitar an incredibly smooth and controlled playing feel, while the thin neck and flat fingerboard radius allows easy access to all 7-strings. The classic double cutaway body enables easy top-fret access, so you'll be able to recreate the fingerboard gymnastics that Steve Vai is known for. A stable double locking Edge-Zero II-7 tremolo bridge gives the ability to create some wild whammy bar antics and makes this guitar the ultimate 7-string shredder.
