Ibanez, ein Name mit spanischen Wurzeln, begann in den 30er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts klassische Gitarren zu bauen. Auf diese lange Tradition zurückblickend, offeriert uns der Hersteller mit der 2017 vorgestellten AKJV90D Archtop ein Instrument im Vintagelook so recht nach dem Geschmack der Künstler, die sonst gern auf die amerikanischen Vorbilder zurück griffen.

Schön "vergilbt" kommt sie daher, ganz wie die alten Vollresonazgiterren, die in den 60ern auch von namhaften deutschen Herstellern, Ost wie West, in kleinen, gut sortierten Läden zu haben waren und sich heuer noch auf dem einen oder anderen Dachboden versteckt halten.

Trapezsaitenhalter, gewölbte Decke, F-Löcher mit Kunststoffbinding und ein makellos gezeichneter, ebenfalls gewölbter Riegelahornboden sind optisch eine Delikatesse. Der dreifach gesperrte Hals sorgt für gute Schwingungsübertragung und Stabilität, die Super 58 Humbucker erinnern an die alten PAFs und übertragen den Sound in adäquater Weise.

Bei soviel Sorgfalt und Qualitätsbewusstsein seitens des Herstellers mag man den avisierten Kaufpreis kaum glauben.
