Fuzz Probe Vexter
Nun auch als Preisgünstige Vexter Variante lieferbar.
Als Grundlage für das Fuzz Probe Pedal dient das Fuzz Factory Pedal. Bei dem Fuzz Probe wird jedoch der Stab Regler mit einer Kupferplatte verbunden und somit lassen sich die "Rückkopplungen" per Hand oder Fuss in der Tonhöhe gesteuert. Das Funktionsprinzip ist ähnlich wie bei einem Theremin.
Auf jeden Fall sind somit extrem Abgedrehte Sounds möglich.
Das V.ZEX Fuzz Probe Vexter Pedal ist eine Mischung aus Theremin und Fuzz Factory. Es besitzt eine 9,2 cm Antennenplatte, die auf einem ca. 1 cm dicken Stück durchsichtigem Acryl befestigt ist, welches auch über die Oberseite des Pedals Gehäuse hinausgeht. Unter dem Ganzen befindet sich eine Aluminiumplatte, die das Pedal von anderen Ground Effekten und Drähten unter der Bühne abschirmt. Außerdem werden so die Regler geschützt, sollte das Pedal einmal herunterfallen.
Die Antennenplatte entwirft ein riesiges Feld an RF-Energie, das nur vom eigenen Fuß beeinflusst wird. Nur durch den unterschiedlichen Kontakt mit dem Fuß ändern sich die Kreisläufe, die diese Energie generieren und damit einhergehend auch die Helligkeit der LED auf der Oberseite des Pedals, er kontrolliert ebenfalls die STABILITY, also den STAB-Regler auf der Rückseite. Dadurch kann man seine Lieblings-Fuzz Factory™ Sounds einstellen und mit Hilfe seines Fußes kleine Melodien und Interferenz Modulationen mit der Gitarre erzeugen.

Congratulations! You must be insane. We don't even totally get how to use this pedal. If you want a Fuzz Factory with some expression pedal like control over the STAB this is your pedal. What does this pedal do? Already, it should be apparent that this is one of the most dangerous pedals Zvex has ever made. The copper antenna projects a field of RF energy that is affected by your foot (or other appendage), altering the circuit that generates it, and in doing so, increasing the brightness of that LED on the top of the pedal and also controlling the STABILITY (STAB) knob on the back. They could have made it just control the LED, that's enough for some people, but nooo, they went and connected it to the stability knob too. This lets you select your favorite squealy fuzz factory setting (doesn't the band love that?) and then mess around with the STAB knob with your foot and create little melodies and interference modulations with your guitar (doesn't the band love that even more?). In summation, this is a pedal for crazy people. Twisted, not- right-in-the-head-crazy-persons. Don't say I didn't warn you. If your idea of fun is a visit from Homeland Security, (your neighbors will think really strange things are going on in there) then we got your pedal right here!

- How does one get it to do something interesting? Well now, that's a fine question. Let's say you set the knobs (face them straight on to do this) to vol=9 o'clock, gate=7 o'clock, comp=10 o'clock, drive=noon, and stab=7 o'clock.
- By the way, to get the widest range for the probe control, be sure to leave the stab knob on 7 o'clock. The probe adjusts the stab knob from wherever it is set, upwards toward the most clockwise position as you get closer to the antenna.
- If you set the stab knob more clockwise, say, to select a favorite pitch to start from, the probe will let you raise that pitch up to the top as you get closer.
- If you put the stab knob at the top, at 5 o'clock, all the way up, the probe will do NOTHING. That's cause it is made to adjust that knob from WHEREVER IT IS SET to the TOP, and if it is already at the top, then no adjustment takes place.
